Therapy for PTSD

Healing can happen together.

A shared path through treatment

The relationship is part of the healing.

CBCT for PTSD gives both partners a way to understand what is happening, respond differently, and move toward greater safety together.

01

Phase 01

Understand PTSD

Learn how trauma responses can affect each partner and the relationship, replacing confusion with a shared understanding.

02

Phase 02

Practice together

Build skills for communication, support, and responding to difficult memories, emotions, and situations.

03

Phase 03

Rebuild safety

Create new patterns of connection and move toward the life and relationship you want together.

Support for both people in the room

CBCT for PTSD is designed for adults experiencing trauma-related symptoms and a close other who is an important source of support. That person is often a romantic partner, but can also be a family member or another significant person in their life.

Sessions are active and collaborative. Together, we identify patterns that may be keeping PTSD or relationship difficulties going, build communication and coping skills, and create space for both people’s experiences while working toward recovery as a team.

A shared understanding can become the beginning of a different way forward.
